Oh no!

My desire to shop is back!

I say, "Oh no" because shopping is hazardous for me. Patrick loves to squawk about how I can manage to spend $73 even at Walgreens. He exaggerates, of course. But hey -- there's lot to buy at Walgreens, okay?

Anyway, my interest in shopping miraculously disappeared when we moved back to Michigan. (As did my love of cooking. Odd.) I think it's because I know we're in temporary housing, and it's hard to imagine cramming more stuff in our wee basement apartment. I'm constantly tripping over a shoe or a cat or a random computer cord, as it is.

So what a surprise when I recently got itchy to buy some new springy shirts when my mom and I stopped in Target (Tar-zshay) to buy a wedding gift for a colleague. And then voila! The fever broke.

Today, I used my lunch hour to mail a letter and couldn't help but to walk a few blocks to the Guardian building (more on this architectural gem later) to scout out a few shops. Whoo hooo! I bought two necklaces for spring.
