Best band in the land!

I got a real treat today when I was working an assignment and got to hear the Cass Tech Marching Band -- also known as the best band in the land -- perform.

Cass Tech is a high-achieving Detroit public school that's been around in various locations and in some form since 1861, according to the school's Web site. The storied band has won numerous awards.

I'll now declare that my future kids, in addition to studying the violin, playing soccer and learning Spanish, should be part of a rollicking marching band. (I love talent!)
